Farrier Report: How Glushu Supports Recovery from Thin Walls and Whiteline Issues

Horses with thin walls and whiteline defects face ongoing challenges that affect their comfort and soundness. These hoof problems can lead to pain, lameness, and difficulty moving, especially when the hoof structure is compromised. The good news is that targeted treatments like Glushu offer practical support to help hooves recover and maintain strength during healing. Thanks to the expert farriers at Huf Reha Team, for sharing how they successfully used Glushu to help a Quarter Horse gelding regain hoof health.

From Huf Reha Team

“A small success story for the weekend.

We took on a Quarter Horse gelding with thin walls, soft spots, defects in the white line, and an unfavourable hoof conformation. We disinfected the affected areas and applied GluShu to allow the hoof to recover and ensure the horse remained sound in his new group.

He is now going barefoot without any problems. The remaining holes are still visible where the excess GluShu was clipped off.

For us, GluShu applied with self adhesive padding Glue-U adhesives is the best way to give a hoof the necessary support to recover. ”
