When it comes to caring for our equine companions, farriery is vital. Traditional shoeing methods have been a staple for centuries, but not all horses adapt well to nail-on shoes. Sensitive-footed horses can suffer discomfort, which is where innovative solutions like Glushu step in. With the expertise of Hayes Farriery, we can see how Glushu is changing the game for horses that need better support. Find Hayes Farriery on Facebook to see more of their work.
From Hayes Farriery
“My client tonight is a horse that’s getting a little stiff, not the easiest to nail on and struggling with the hard ground we have here at the moment.
I chose Glushu as they offer a non traumatic application (no nailing), are lightweight, for anti concussion and being rubber if she brushes (which she can do on occasion) she does so with rubber not steel!
Glushu are very versatile and here the shoes were modified to give a rolled toe effect to help with her hock arthritis,.
Another happy client thanks to Glushu!”
Glushu offers a groundbreaking alternative to traditional shoeing techniques. Unlike conventional shoes that require nails, Glushu uses a non-invasive and lightweight design. This is a game-changer for horses that experience discomfort or pain during standard shoeing procedures. Many horses that previously showed signs of distress during nailing can now find relief with Glushu, allowing them to feel at ease.
Another major advantage of Glushu is its versatility. Hayes Farriery has modified the shoes to create a rolled toe effect, effectively reducing pressure on arthritic joints. This customization demonstrates that Glushu is adaptable to meet the specific needs of each horse.
