“Glushu to the rescue for these laminitic warmbloods.

I was called by my vet to step in and help as previous shoeing efforts weren't working. Both horses walked away better than before. Careful, but no more limping. The mare refused to leave her stall for the pre trim photos (poor girl).

This case required more intuition and listening skills than text book do-don’ts. The horses were VERY expressive about what felt comfortable.

I allowed each horse to stand in various setups, some with caudal support, some pads, reversed shoe, straight shoe, bigger shoe, more supportive shoe, and the current setup in the photos is what they chose to actively stand in. Otherwise the shoe would promptly be thrown across the aisle or they would refuse to put their foot down.

I hope that in the weeks to come, that their recovery progresses and they get back to being happy horses.

(I had radiographs on both prior to Trimming and setup)”
